FILE TRANSFER (FTP)

Uploading to the Scott Print FTP site

If your file is too big to email, Scott Print has its own FTP server, which can be used by clients to safely transfer from your computer to Scott Print.

Alternatively, there are many different programs available that will allow easy transfer of files to Scott Print, such as Cute FTP, Filezilla, Fetch and CyberDuck.

FTP Instructions

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. In the address line type ftp://ftp.scott.com.au
  3. A login box will appear for you to enter the Scott Print username and password (contact Scott Print prepress on 9223 7788 to get the latest information)
  4. Drag the files to internet explorer

Common Issue Solutions

  1. If the login box at Step 4 does not appear, please try entering the username and password in the address ftp://username:password@ftp.scott.com.au
  2. Some larger organisations block the use of FTP. If you cannot access the page please check with your computer support to confirm compatibility.
  3. Transfer speed will vary depending on the ISP and your account. As a general rule 512 ADSL/Broadband should run at 15 seconds per megabyte.
